Drums are among the oldest instruments known to man and their rhythms have accompanied humanity throughout the whole of history – from rituals and celebrations to the concert stage in present-day music venues. Our course of individual drum lessons (30 minutes weekly) not only teaches participants basic techniques, it allows them to develop their skills by learning various playing styles, rhythms and tempos. The ability to tune drums is also of key importance. This includes setting up the drum kit correctly, the correct use of the pedals and tuning all parts of the kit to ensure the optimal sound. Special attention is paid to the correct way to hold the drumsticks and the choice of drumsticks that best suit the individual’s style and needs.

Participants in the course gain rich experience through structured exercises, individual approaches and group performances, where they have the opportunity to perform in various environments and face the real challenges of live performance. Alongside technical knowledge and practical skills, we place great emphasis on the development of individual creativity. Under the expert guidance of our teachers, course participants have the opportunity to create original compositions, develop their own form of expression and create music that reflects their personality and musical preferences. This approach not only builds confidence, it stimulates unique artistic development.

A varied and flexible music course

The music course is highly varied and flexible, since it includes learning music from different genres – from classical music, where participants learn technical precision and expressiveness, to rousing rock, rebellious punk and rhythmic pop. This enables all-round musical development and broadens participants’ horizons, regardless of their prior experience or musical preferences. Our guiding principle is the desire to encourage passion for music, freedom of expression and the exploration of the limitless possibilities that the drums offer.

Playing the drums brings numerous advantages at both the physical and the psychological level. It improves coordination, concentration and motor skills, since it requires the synchronised movement of arms and legs. At the same time, it is an excellent way to relieve stress, since playing rhythms has a therapeutic effect and stimulates emotional expression. Drumming strengthens creativity, encourages musical listening and develops a sense of rhythm, which has a positive influence on overall musical development. It also opens the door to connections with other musicians and builds confidence through performance and the creation of original compositions.
