As part of the Cultural Day at Pionirski dom, students become active participants, not just observers of the cultural programme.
The emphasis is on gaining experience, as we believe that only in this way can we ignite a spark in children and encourage greater and more lasting interest in cultural and artistic content.
Children discover that with a little imagination, a desire for knowledge, and some basic equipment, they can create their own animated film or comic strip. Through art, they can express themselves in a way that reflects their deepest emotions. At Pionirski dom, we aim to offer exactly that – we want them to feel the art.
At Pionirski dom, we offer Cultural Days in various fields:
• Visual Arts: Clay relief modelling, Printmaking, Mosaic composition design
• Science
• Performing Arts: In front of the curtain
• Performing Arts: Dance journey
SCIENCE CULTURAL DAY
Grades 1–4
Through research-based activities, students will explore fundamental chemical and biological processes. They will learn what DNA is, how it can be extracted from fruit, and investigate how different substances mix and react with one another.
They will try their hand at creating emulsions and gels, which they will prepare in their very own children’s laboratory. Through hands-on experiments, they will examine the properties of substances and mixtures and learn how to recognize them in everyday life.
SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH DAY
Grades 5–7
Through experimental work, students will investigate the importance of nutrition and the chemical processes in the body.
They will get to know the food pyramid, food groups, and their components. In the children’s laboratory, they will conduct chemical experiments and explore food ingredients, gaining a better understanding of the importance of a balanced diet and the role of individual nutrients for health and well-being.

• 4 teaching hours: €11.50 per child
