Theatre for young children at Pionirski dom is designed to introduce children to the world of theatre through play. The aims of the course are:
• Development and strengthening of creativity and imagination
• Successful cooperation and building trust within the group
• Awareness of feelings and expressing emotions
• Clear verbal and non-verbal communication and overcoming stage fright
• Encouraging self-confidence
• Acquiring new skills related to movement and speech
• Forming new friendships
• Fun and laughter
Young children mainly learn theatre at Pionirski dom through simple improvisational warm-up games and exercises. Through play-based activities, they explore movement, speech and voice and stimulate their imagination. They will create and perform new characters and develop wonderful stories. There are usually two performances each school year. The first takes place halfway and is designed to encourage children to perform in public and help them overcome stage fright. The second is a more polished final performance at the end of the year. The aim is for children not only to learn about theatre but to gain important life skills that will benefit them in the future.
