Theatre for adults

Theatre for adults at Pionirski dom creates a space where relaxed communication, boundless imagination, playfulness, free expression and creative problem-solving intersect and intertwine. The emphasis is on collaboration, mutual support and nurturing the creative expression of all participants. The programme is based on theatrical improvisation techniques, which help participants acquire and strengthen social and individual skills. Young adults practise public performance, where clear, loud, distinct speech is of key importance. They also gain experience inhabiting various roles, emotions and states while experimenting with ways to communicate and cooperate with others.

Participants acquire theatrical skills such as stage orientation, voice control and emotional expression.  They also learn other skills such as taking the initiative, functioning in stressful situations and finding ways to manage such situations. The course provides experiences that go beyond theatre and are also applicable in everyday life.

Pionirski dom is proud to work with a team of five leaders who offer everyone a safe and trust-filled environment where there is also room for mistakes and growth. Each course leader contributes to the rich atmosphere in the group with her own unique personality and approach while also staying true to Pionirski dom’s mission of nurturing and encouraging individual artistic expression. This makes the course more than just theatre: it is a space where new friendships and creative ideas are born.

Come and join our theatre family! In addition to the regular meetings, participants showcase their work once a year at Improfest, a mini festival of improvised performances halfway through the year. At the end of the year they prepare various theatrical performances in different styles and genres, where they can demonstrate to an audience what they have learned over the course of the year.
