Spanish for older children – beginners

All course participants enjoy Spanish because the language itself is very melodious. Spain’s rich history is part of what makes the country so diverse and interesting. The blend of Spanish culture and the culture of Latin American countries is reflected in a unique temperament that attracts people from all over the world. Another feature of Spanish is that beginners are able to master it at a basic level relatively quickly. This facilitates communication and enables them to understand their peers from various Spanish-speaking countries. This also increases their motivation to continue learning. The basic grammar is sufficiently simple and clear for learners to begin using Spanish in everyday situations quite early on. This initial success builds confidence and leads to a desire for further progress. The Spanish for older children – beginners course is suitable for both children and teenagers, since we offer both beginner and advanced levels. The content of each course is adapted to the goals and wishes of the participants. We use a wide range of audio-visual aids during the course, which help keep the lessons interesting and interactive. We also incorporate games, songs, brief sketches and other activities that help learners relax and enhance their knowledge through play. Elements introducing Spanish and Latin American music are particularly popular and not only contribute to linguistic progress but also broaden learners’ cultural horizons.

Participation in Pionirski dom exhibitions, projects and festivals

Participants of the Spanish for older children – beginners course have the opportunity to take part in various exhibitions, joint projects and festivals organised at Pionirski dom. These events allow them to show what they have learnt, gain additional experience and deepen their contact with the language and culture. Course participants can also do the Pionirski dom reading badge, which encourages additional reading and understanding of Spanish. All these activities help ensure that learning Spanish is a holistic experience that incorporates both linguistic and cultural elements. Our learners not only learn the language, but, through songs, play and various projects, experience Spanish culture, which is extremely valuable for their personal and linguistic development.

The selected courses are aligned with the common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) for foreign languages, and course participants can also take international exams for children and young people, DELE A1 Escolar or DELE A2/B1 Escolar, which are suitable for learners aged 11 to 17. Passing these exams opens the way to study abroad or getting a scholarship and, later, better employment opportunities. Pionirski dom has held accreditation from the Instituto Cervantes as a DELE exam centre since 2014. You can read more about the exams HERE.
