German for teenagers – advanced
In today’s globalised world, knowing foreign languages is extremely valuable. German occupies a special position because of its historical, cultural and economic importance, which is why we recommend our German for teenagers – advanced course. German is one of the most widely spoken languages in Europe and opens the door to better career opportunities, wider access to education and a deeper understanding of cultural and economic ties.
German universities are famous for their quality and innovation, with many of them offering free or affordable study programmes, which is a great advantage for students. Not only that, but organisations such as the DAAD offer numerous scholarships for international students who know German. Even exchanges such as the Erasmus programmes frequently include opportunities to learn German or even to study in German. Knowing German is thus a key that opens the door to top-quality education and better life opportunities.
As well as its practical benefits in the fields of work and education, German offers a rich cultural experience. German-speaking countries such as Germany, Austria and Switzerland are popular tourist destinations, where knowing the language makes it easier to communicate with locals and allows a more authentic experience of the local culture. German is also the language of great writers, musicians and philosophers. Understanding Goethe, Kafka or Beethoven in the original is a privilege granted by knowing the language. German is also one of the key languages in science and technology and enables access to a wide circle of information, research and innovation.
Learning a language stimulates cognitive abilities, improves memory and builds confidence
Last but not least, learning German also has a positive effect on personal development. Learning a language stimulates cognitive abilities, improves memory and builds confidence. It also opens the door to expanding one’s social network and building contacts with people from different cultures. Knowing a foreign language is always a bridge to intercultural understanding, which is becoming increasingly important in today’s world. Our German for teenagers – advanced course offers secondary school students the opportunity to build and enhance their German skills if they are already learning the language at school. We use German literature in the lessons, in this way emphasising genuine contact with the language. The course integrates and develops all four language skills: listening, reading, writing and speaking. Those students who already have sufficient prior knowledge of the language can start preparing for the international exams offered by the Goethe-Institut, namely Fit in Deutsch 1 and 2. Passing these exams opens the door to study abroad, scholarships and better employment opportunities. You can read more about the exams HERE.
The courses are designed for different ages and levels. The content of each course is adapted to the goals and wishes of the participants. Learners take part in a range of exhibitions, projects and festivals and a final event. They can also get their Pionirski dom reading badge.
Participants in our German courses quickly discover that the German language is far from being rigid and unapproachable. You’ll be surprised how quickly you grow fond of it, while also becoming more familiar with the culture and history of German-speaking countries.
