The Chinese language is becoming increasingly attractive in our region. It is a language that is very different from the western languages we are most familiar with. Students learn the interesting Chinese script – characters, pinyin (a Latinised form of the script) as well as the correct tones when pronouncing words.

We add variety to language lessons by learning about Chinese culture (sights, stories, songs, historical events). Students learn the language using all their senses and a range of different approaches. Teachers use modern teaching methods with an emphasis on interaction. Sometimes lessons take place in the form of a workshop with the active participation of the students, while at the end of the lesson the teacher reads a short Chinese fairy tale.
Learning Chinese can also be fun, with lessons taking place in a positive and friendly atmosphere with an experienced teacher (either Slovene or a native speaker).
The courses are designed for different ages and levels, from complete beginners to learners with prior knowledge. The content of each course is adapted to the goals and wishes of the participants. We also offer individual lessons and lessons for groups of two and three. Course participants take part in various exhibitions, projects, festivals and a final event.
