Jaka Hawlina began his musical journey at the Škofja Loka Music School, where he successfully completed 8 years of trumpet lessons and 2 years of piano. He continued his musical education at the Secondary Music and Ballet School in Ljubljana (SGBŠ), where he gained extensive experience through collaboration with various musical ensembles, including jazz, funk, rock, experimental music, ethno, and cabaret.

After completing his education, he became a music teacher at a primary school, where he still passionately teaches and inspires students with music. He successfully earned a master's degree in music pedagogy at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana. Alongside teaching, he remains active in the music field as an instrumentalist, vocalist, co-arranger, and creator.
For many years, he has also collaborated with Pionirski dom, where he has enriched his pedagogical knowledge with innovative approaches. He is particularly interested in finding ways to present complex musical tasks to students in a simple and accessible manner.
