Cultural day for primary and secondary schools, fine arts

The list of cultural days is the result of many years of creation and operation of Pionirski dom in the cultural and science field. When designing all programs, we combine the knowledge, skills and wishes of mentors, colleagues, trainees and visitors to festivals and other programs.

Description
Students become active participants in the cultural day at Pionirski dom, rather than merely observers of the cultural programme.
The emphasis is on gaining experience, because we believe that only in this way can we ignite the spark in children and encourage them to have a deeper and more lasting interest in cultural and artistic content.
Children discover that with a little imagination, a desire for knowledge, and some basic equipment, they can create their own cartoon or comic. Through art, they can express themselves in a way that reflects their deepest emotions. At Pionirski dom, we want to enable them to do just that – we want them to truly feel art.
At Pionirski dom, we offer cultural days in various fields:
• Visual Arts: modelling a clay relief, graphic design, designing a mosaic composition
• Science
• Performing Arts: When the Curtain Rises
• Performing Arts: Dance Journey

Clay Relief Modelling Based on Historical Exhibits
Participants in this workshop will explore how reliefs and textures are reflected in nature and sculpture. They will learn about different types of relief and their use in architecture, urban design, and decorative arts. From photographs of reliefs from various historical periods and locations, they will choose one that resonates with them and reinterpret it by modelling it onto a clay slab.

Printmaking Using One of the Offered Techniques: Monotype, Collagraphy, Screen Printing, Blind Embossing or Relief Printing
During the cultural day, primary school students will deepen their knowledge of printmaking techniques. Following the process dictated by the chosen technique, they will create their own experimental print and explore the possibilities of reproduction. Variations on a selected theme will be encouraged in all techniques.

Mosaic Composition Design Using Stones and Ceramic Tiles
Children will draw inspiration from the rich imagery of Roman mosaics found on Slovenian soil, the works of Spacal, and the mosaics of Antoni Gaudí. In the workshop, they will design their own motif and use selected stones and ceramic fragments to create a unique mosaic.
