Nina Koželj

Nina Koželj deluje na področju kiparstva, grafike in prostorskih postavitev. Njena umetniška praksa raziskuje nelagodje, motnjo in nenavadno vedenje, pri čemer umetniška dela pogosto vzbujajo humor in hkrati provokativno odzivanje. Po besedah Vasja Nagy-Hofbauerja: »Enkrat ti piha v oči, drugič žvižga tja v en dan, tretjič električno trese ob dotiku.« Umetniške upodobitve so jasne in konkretne, pogosto prilagojene izbiri materiala in tehnike.
Nina Koželj works in the fields of sculpture, printmaking and spatial installations. Her artistic practice explores discomfort, disorder and unusual behavior, with artworks often evoking humor and provocative responses. In the words of Vasj Nagy-Hofbauer: “Sometimes it blows in your eyes, other times it whistles in one day, and thirdly it gives you electric shocks when touched.” The artistic representations are clear and concrete, often tailored to the choice of material and technique.
Since 2012, she has been teaching sculpture and graphic arts for adults at the Pionirski dom in Ljubljana, and also collaborates with numerous other cultural institutions in Slovenia. In 2017, she gained the status of a freelance artist with exceptional achievements in the field of sculpture, and in the academic year 2021/22, she worked as an assistant in the field of ceramics at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design (ALUO) in Ljubljana.
Nina Koželj has exhibited her works in prominent galleries at home and abroad, including the Ivan Grohar Gallery, Simulaker, Velenje, Domžale and [kunst]PROJEKTE in Germany.
