Eva Vrhovšek is a third-year student of a two-discipline undergraduate course of the Spanish and Portuguese language and literature at the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana. Her interest in languages began in her childhood when she explored her mother tongue and had her first lessons in English and German. Her love for Spanish began in high school years and soon grew into a passion that continues to this day. Alongside Portuguese, which she came across rather accidentally during her life journey, Spanish opened doors to the vast world – linguistically connected, yet incredibly diverse and different from our own.
Teaching languages allows her to bring the rich cultural diversity of Spanish-speaking countries closer to others, considering their desires and interests. She believes that learning languages opens doors to new ways of thinking and a deeper understanding of the world.
