PANG responds to the problems of marginalization and social inequality among young people in the European Union by involving them in the process of artistic creation in the field of performing arts. The goal is to overcome geographical boundaries and the sense of isolation caused by the pandemic.
Thus, the main objective of PANG is to tackle the crisis related to COVID-19 by creating a new active audience for the performing arts, involving young people in a co-creative transnational process based on the experience of the pandemic. The result of the process will be the creation of several artistic co-productions on the common theme of "The End of the World".
The project will be implemented by 4 partner organizations in 4 main phases:
1st phase: Forming a national/local youth group in 4 countries and conducting active art workshops with them. In Pionirski dom, we will cover workshops of improvisational theatre and contemporary dance - creative movement.
2nd phase: Production and staging of local plays on the theme of "The End of the World", as the final result of the workshops in each country.
During the preparation process of the production, various accompanying events will also take place: improv evenings on the theme of the End of the World, a public installation and a round table, which will involve young audiences and offer a platform for young voices on various platforms.
3rd phase: Co-production of the PANG installation through an international artist residency in Estonia.
4th phase: Rehearsals and staging of PANG installations in all countries.
