At Pionirski dom, we are aware that art is not only a mirror of society, but also a tool for personal growth. Our workshops, performances and projects, such as the international PANG project, allow young artists to explore complex themes such as the end of the world and the personal and collective crises caused by the pandemic through theater and dance.
These topics encourage young people to think about their own role in the world and how they can actively contribute to a better future. In addition to Pionirski dom providing space for artistic development, we offer young people the opportunity to learn how to work as part of a group, how to cooperate with each other and how to take responsibility.
These skills are key to their success in various areas of life, not just within the art world. Art thus allows young people to develop their potential and upgrade their skills, while at the same time learning how their work affects the wider society.
Projects like PANG guide them through processes where they learn to think critically and thus prepare themselves for future challenges, all from the safe, stimulating and creative starting point offered by Pionirski dom.
The transience of performance art dictates that every moment is a beginning and an end, a greeting and a goodbye. The embodiment of ideas, feelings, atmospheres and states, leaves traces and fills the voids of spaces and bodies. What remains? What are we leaving behind? The end is goodbye, it is a new beginning, it is very, word, breath, spirit, echo, reflection, coexistence, feeling, awareness, energy conversion.
That's why we invite you to join us on June 18, 2024, at 7 p.m. in the Pionirski Theater at Miklošičeva 28 in Ljubljana.
