Helena Tahir (born 1992) represents the younger generation of young artists who explore the formal and content-related aspects of graphic techniques and contribute to the creation of contemporary graphics in Slovenia. Her graphic works are characterised by the interweaving of imaginative images, rich in associations and historical references. She completed her undergraduate studies in graphics and her postgraduate studies in painting with honors at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana. During her studies, she developed her education at Faculdade de Belas Artes (the Faculty of Fine Arts) in Porto and at Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst (the Academy of Fine Arts and Book Design) in Leipzig. She has presented her work at numerous exhibitions, including the Lamut Salon in Kostanjevica na Krki (2018) and the International Centre of Graphic Arts in Ljubljana (2020). She complements her activities by teaching graphics at various institutions, including the Academy of Fine Arts and Design.
