General description of the course

Science for children offers children the opportunity to learn about science in a fun and educational way. It allows children to learn to understand nature through their own experiences. Activities such as experiments, observation and studying the action of various forces stimulate their curiosity. As they do the activities, children gain an insight into the world around them. They learn to understand the connections between different natural processes. The course emphasises the importance of understanding life cycles and human impact on the environment. It helps children develop sustainable thinking and a sense of responsibility towards nature.

What your child will get from the course

The Science for children course helps develop critical thinking, patience and the ability to analyse results. These skills are also valuable in the broader context of your child’s education. Laboratory activities include practical experiments such as mixing chemicals, researching reactions and building simple devices. Children conduct experiments in a real children’s laboratory, gaining experiences that were previously available only to adults.  Practical work allows the young participants to grasp complex scientific concepts in an understandable way. They learn through observation and hands-on activities, which further strengthens their memory.

The course also offers an insight into important historical discoveries that have shaped science. Children learn about the work of important scientists such as Galileo Galilei, Isaac Newton and Marie Curie, who developed innovative solutions despite the challenges they faced. Through these stories, children learn the value of perseverance and creativity. Historical stories stimulate curiosity and inspire children to explore their own ideas, leading to a broader understanding of science and encouraging them to think outside the box.

Aim of the course

Science for children opens the door into the world of scientific research, which will be useful to them in the future. Young researchers become confident, inquisitive and creative thinkers. The knowledge they gain helps them develop curiosity, responsibility and creativity. In this way they learn that scientific questions are the key to understanding the world. The course guides them to become open-minded and innovative researchers. This means that Science for children is not just a science lesson but a stepping stone to the future.
