Painting for children
Painting for children takes place in small groups with a maximum of eight participants. The course is aimed at children aged ten and over. Each child has the individual attention of a teacher, which allows us to adapt to the unique needs, abilities and interests. This approach creates a stimulating environment. Children develop their own creativity, artistic expression and spatial conception. By using various drawing and painting techniques, they explore how lines and colours come to life on the paper or canvas and see their ideas and feelings take on a visual form. This process not only stimulates artistic expression, it fosters independence, confidence and a feeling of responsibility for their own work.
An excellent complement to school art lessons
Painting for children is designed to complement the art lessons they have at school. It offers children an opportunity for free creativity and exploration. The focus is not on creating a perfect product but on the process itself, with the children learning how to express their ideas and feelings through art. Particular emphasis is placed on developing understanding of fundamental artistic elements such as lines, shapes and colours, and on using them to build simple but powerful visual stories. As they work, the children encounter fundamental concepts such as balance, contrast and harmony, which helps them better understand how to use art as a means of expression.
The workshops present children with various creative challenges, such as observational drawing, tracing, exploring abstract forms and images and attempts to depict three-dimensional objects on a flat surface. They also explore graphical visualisation, using lines and symbols to develop a simple yet effective visual language. They learn expressive and impressive forms of expression, incorporating their feelings, their imagination and even their other senses, which enriches their artistic experience. Attempts at surreal visualisations and connecting opposites further stimulate their imagination and their exploration of the limits of creativity.
Along with artistic skills, the workshops build soft skills such as perseverance, self-discipline and the ability to focus on tasks. Children learn to work together in a group while at the same time maintaining their individuality and autonomy in their creative work. The ages of the children in the groups can vary, since we believe that each individual develops at their own pace. Small groups facilitate an intimate and supportive atmosphere where children feel safe as they explore their ideas, regardless of their previous experience or level of artistic knowledge.
Stimulating holistic development of the personality
These workshops are not just a place to learn techniques, they are an opportunity to stimulate holistic development of the personality. Artistic creation allows children to develop their imagination, acquire new skills and build a positive attitude towards art as a means of expression and exploration. Taking part in these workshops not only helps their artistic development, it builds confidence and fosters curiosity and aesthetic sensibility, which enriches their everyday lives and inspires them for future challenges.
