Learning about the culture of English-speaking countries give students an opportunity to compare a foreign culture with their own, in the spirit of the humanistic tradition. As they discover the specific characteristics and differences of the foreign culture, students develop a tolerant attitude towards difference, while at the same time consolidating their own identity. Language courses give students the opportunity to get to know the culture, history, civilisation, customs and traditions of English-speaking countries. They also learn about writers, artists, scientists and other notable figures. Individual topics are covered in modular fashion.
Participants can then consolidate the additional knowledge gained in our year-long and shorter courses by taking international exams from Cambridge English, which are aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for foreign languages (levels A1 to C2). You can read more about the exams HERE.
The courses are designed for different ages and levels, from complete beginners to learners with prior knowledge. The content of each course is adapted to the goals and wishes of the participants. We also offer individual lessons and lessons for groups of two and three. Learners take part in a range of exhibitions, projects and festivals and a final event. They can also get their Pionirski dom reading badge.

English language courses are an opportunity for learners to familiarise themselves with the internationally recognised Cambridge English Qualifications. The exams are suitable for children with a basic knowledge of English and are divided into three levels: Pre A1 Starters, A1 Movers and A2 Flyers. These exams are an enjoyable introduction to English language testing and can serve as a reward or incentive for children to keep learning English. The next exam in the Cambridge English Qualifications series is B1 Preliminary for Schools (formerly PET). You can read more about the exams HERE.
